Ronnie Jackson (Bob Hope) is a Baby Photographer who is on Death Row and is granted his last request of telling his story to the Press. He tells how he has always wanted to be a Private Eye, you see his office is right across the hall from a real Private Eye and he has been bugging the P.I. to let him work on some cases. The Private Eye goes out of town and asks (Bob) to answer the phone if it rings. Still hanging around after the P.I. leaves, a Woman walks in an asks for help. He trys to tell her that he isn't a Private Eye but then she makes him an offer he can't refuse.
