Cynthia Stanhope (Lori Nelson), Chaperoned by her Aunt Agatha (Barbara Jo Allen), travel west in a covered wagon to Fort Alden looking for her fiancée Jonathan Adams (Scott Brady) thats there on assignment for a Boston Art Society, commishioned to paint Landscapes. On arrival she finds that Jonathan is very popular with the ladies of the fort. It seems that Jonathan has been flirting with the Store Keepers daughter and the daughter of the Cheif of the Mohawks. Butler (John Hoyt), a local settler tries to end the peace between the army and the Mohawk Indians so that he can gain control of the whole Mohawk Valley.
