Two Montana Saddle Tramps (Tom Selleck and Jerry Reed) are run out of town by the local sheriff after fighting with one of the poker players that was cheating. Being Chased, they hop a freight Train and end up in Nashville where they look up a friend thats a private eye. Their friend tells them they can stay at his place and use his corvette while he is out of town. While there, a woman (Morgan Fairchild) thinks they are private eyes and ask for their help, her sister is missing. They take the job and start new careers as private eyes.
